Blackfeet Reservation is the true Homeland for the Blackfeet Indians.

"The Blackfeet "reservation" is the true homeland of the Blackfeet-Piegans. Chief Mountain is the spiritual monument of the Blackfeet Sun religion, and within the reduced reservation lands are teepee rings going back thousands of years to the "dog days" prior to the introduction of the horse in the 1700's. The Blackfeet lands were continuously reduced by treaty with the United States to make room for expansion of white settlers, confederate gold miners, and Texas cattle kings into Blackfoot Confederacy lands. The Blackfeet Indians never fought a war with the United States, or were forced to reside on the reservation as prisoners of war. The present day reservation is the last holding of their former lands where they hunted the millions of buffalo prior to the coming of the white man to the Blackfoot Country.
