HISTORY RIDDLE FOR AMERICA. Q. WHY IS INDIAN LAND FREE? A. BECAUSE THE WHITE MAN STOLE IT!

American Historian Frederick Jackson Turner wrote, "The western wilds, from the Alleganies to the Pacific, constituted the richest free gift that was ever spread out before civilized man. Never again can such an opportunity come to the Sons of Men. The most significant thing about the American Frontier is that it lies at the hither edge of free land." The Blackfeet History book, Sacred Buffalo Vision, [available on Amazon.Com] documents the unending encroachments of white men on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, raping, murdering, scalping Blackfeet women, children, and old people for $50 bounty payments, still searching for free land with gold. The condition of white men looking for free land is up to the minute as they scan the Indian reservations for a nugget of leftover scrounge or the missed oil well or the devils gas hissing like a snake from the bowels of hell. I watched the white landowners testify for five years against Indian water compacts on state t.v. but at the Blackfeet tribal office the Indians were not allowed to testify on our water rights or the massive thefts of 312,250 acres of Blackfeet allotments, and one billion dollars worth of oil. Today it is "free water" the white man seeks on the Blackfeet Reservation, not content with robbing the western reservation waters, now envies our ocean of aquifers and reservation streams, to be put under state regulations by the Montana Department of Natural Resources for permits to use our own water. I recognize there will be a water board with two Indians to be outvoted by three white men who rule on the compact, but it will not be a working board for the Indians who will be subjected to an avalanche of paperwork and notices that will diminish our use of our own water including water marketing. The water compact has nothing for the Blackfeet landowners. In the past years I have seen thousands of white landowners protest Indian water rights in water compact meetings but I have never witnessed an Indian leader tell a white man get off the reservation, it was made for Indians! The water compact has the potential to produce an economic miracle for Blackfeet people who own the reservation. The Blackfeet landowners will become the wealthiest in the state if we get the restrictions on off-reservation water marketing out of the compact because we need to sell our high quality drinking water to global water markets. Just because white "reservation squatters" demands the Indian water rights doesn't mean he owns the water, and it isn't free like the Blackfeet land he stole and got away with unless Congress holds up the compact until our land claims are paid and the white man gets a free ticket to Cut Bank, Valier, and Conrad to his own "Montana reservation." Do not vote for the compact, there is nothing for the Blackfeet landowners, and it is a free water giveaway to the white parasites on the Blackfeet Reservation. They want us to vote on the compact, but what is in it for us?Bob Juneau Sr. Blackfeet Patriot

SUBORDINATION OF RESERVED BLACKFEET ALLOTTED WATER RIGHTS TO THE TRIBE AND WHITES

While we sit back or are tossed out of water compact meetings at the tribal office the whites have got our water rights to the entire western reservation watershed, St. Mary and Milk Rivers, tributaries and snow run-off and glacial melt from Glacier Park, and we got nothing! In 1980 the Bureau of Indian Affairs Report stated that it would take "fifty years and fifty million dollars before the full extent of beneficial use of water could be achieved. The limiting factor for water usage on the Blackfeet Indian lands is the "money." The Blackfeet Indian Reservation has a vast availability of water that can be utilized for water marketing of tribal and allotted trust lands but water usage on trust lands is very minimal. The danger for us is the "water wars" due to begin as soon as the water compact is signed and approved by the Blackfeet voters, and then it is "drill baby drill" as millions in profits from our water resources will go to whites because who will drill our water wells? The BIA? The rule of law is the "Rule of Capture" where your white neighbor will drain your trust property because it is legal. The tribal council did not protect allotted water rights in the compact except to claim it for themselves and all the money too. Today our" Pure" waters of the reservation streams are the most valuable resource on the planet, but before they reach Cut Bank are polluted by oil companies and farmers, so our water is drinking quality worth more money than oil-piss water of border-whites in Glacier County living on our stolen allotted lands.  Did we have a say in the water compact negotiations? Or do we vote "blind" like in tribal council elections and just take a chance at "forever" which water compacts project. This is the "final solution" of the Congress to get rid of the "Indian problem" once and for all by his own hand in the final vote in the water compacts, which we do not understand, but are expected to vote on soon! What do we know? The tribal council under Earl rejected our water rights claims and threw me out of the meeting when I brought up our forced patents claims sitting in the Senate Indian Affairs Committee since 2001. We saved our century old claims which "our fore-fathers and fore-mothers and fore-children, and fore-babies, and fore-infants and fore-babies in the belly fought and died to keep our land. "Nits make lice" was the cry of Montana confederates and Texas cattle kings intent on genocide of the Black-Foot Indians led by Montana Governor Meagher celebrated in Helena saloons scalp tossing of Piegan women, children, old men & women, and babies and "simply danced with delight" for the massacre of Chief Heavy Runner's band, but that was in the past our chief and council says, we have to learn to live together on our land as brothers. Is there any more pitiful thing in the world than an uncle tomahawk who sells his people for favors of whites? The water compact represents the United Nations "Slow-Death Measures" genocide where a targeted people [Blackfeet Allottees] are denied property rights, looted and pillaged by the criminal class of politicians, who reduce the targeted group to poverty where they die in poor housing, poor health care, poor diets, diabetes epidemic, early deaths, no jobs, no hope, and the slow decay of a once vibrant, rich, free, treaty-Indian to a second-class status in Glacier and Pondera Counties on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation where the border-whites own the productive lands of the Blackfeet by massive land frauds called forced fee patents cases on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation given up by the tribal council in the water compact with no more concern than kicking a dog. Do we even know what is in the water compact? WATER COMPACTS ARE FOREVER!

"The Blackfeet Tribe has many political heroes" by Bob Juneau

The Blackfeet Tribe has many political heroes who fought and died from being starved by the agent and the county officials who were in the process of "stealing" hundreds of individual Blackfeet Trust Land Allotments in 1919-1934; the year the Montana Legislature enacted Glacier and Pondera County jurisdiction on the Blackfeet Reservation to protect the void Patent-in-Fee lands that make up the county land base within the reservation boundary. There was no consent of the Indians, who were the victims of the massive land frauds called "Forced Fee Patents Cases on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation." I wrote a Blackfeet history book detailing the political battle to keep the reservation for the Indians for whom it was created out of vast Blackfoot Confederacy Lands out of which the State of Montana was created with the disclaimer that the state and white men would stay off-reservation until two/thirds the Blackfeet Indian males voted to accept state jurisdiction and to come under state laws, which has never been voted on or agreed to in the history of Montana and the Blackfeet Tribe. Three Bears spoke at a tribal council meeting in 1928, "It isn't right for [BIA] to try to sell our land on the sly, I am afraid that someday the white people will flood our lands and there will be nothing left for us." Joe Spanish said, "Senator Walsh is looking out for himself and his re-election and will starve us down to nothing. His bill will be the end of our cattle industry." Mrs. Mabel Monroe-Bond wrote to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs John Collier many times on the forced patents land frauds and the starving of the Blackfeet landowners to force them to accept fee patents on their family lands and ranches, "Superintendent Campbell's five year starvation program amounts to starve us out, burn us out, kick us out. Most of our land is gone and it won't be long till the [white men]  "owners" of this reservation will demand us to get out. Will there be a wholesale exodus of the Children of the Sun into the strange land of the white man to stand in bread lines, begging for bread, penniless, homeless, permanent objects of charity? We are tired of agents who come to the reservation with the sole idea of exploiting us." In 1944 Chairman Sharp protested to the Congress that, "Louis Hill, owner of the Great Northern Railway, has been able to get oil structures "patented" on the reservation that have produced millions of dollars for the oil companies and the patent-in-fee white landowners, but nothing for the tribe or the individual Indian allottees. One allotment produced over three million dollars for the white man." The unresolved Blackfeet claims include 1,200 Blackfeet forced patents claims estimated @ $600 million to be paid to heirs of the original allottees, and a billion dollars worth of oil removed from the reservation by patent-in-fee landowners and oil companies. My own experiences have been that the tribal council is helping to suppress our claims in the water compact which will :forever" give to the white landowners a clear title to stolen Blackfeet Trust Land Allotments. "Institutional Equity" means that all parties to the claims must be heard on an equal basis including Indian landowners who "own" the Blackfeet Reservation. Read the 1896 Agreement/Article Five.
